A Trillion - Politics - Media - Society - everything for this moment
I have always been confused about this.. A trillion dollars/pounds. Why is it that it is easily acceptable to spend a trillion so easily, its a very big number. I have been sayin it for over a year now, a trillion is one million million… that could make one million people millionaires… or even better, like the situation we see around the world with houses getting repossessed, if every house cost $250,000 or £250,000 depending on what currency it is, then 4 million homes could be saved, thats 4 million families who aren’t going to be homeless. If it is in the United Kingdom, and there is an average family of 2 parents and 2 children, then thats 16 million people who are going to be a lot happier, thats like 1/4 of the population of UK. The problem is that no body seems to see it this way, to me a lot of problems with society comes from the fact that everyone is competing, people are always trying to climb onto each other to get to the top. I’m not saying that yea, give people the money and then they will be happier and society would be a much better place. But still, why not put this kind of money into educating people to live a much better and fulfilling life, give them incentives to lift themselves up and contribute back. If a business or bank goes bust, then its like a rush trying to save them because its the “name” the “history” the “reputation”, but haven’t they ruined their own name as well by not being responsible themselves either?. I’ve worked in a lot of places and have always noticed how businesses aren’t looking after their staff, complain about the lack of profit, always push staff to bring in more profit, yet they still drive around in nice cars and live luxurious lives and still come out the end of the tunnel without a scratch on themselves leaving normal people to pick up pieces.
Businesses do a lot avoid taxes, but where and what can a normal member of society do to avoid tax?, what are the consequences for them?, what are the consequences for directors or board members?. Why is it that we live in a society that there is one rule for the very rich, but another rule for everyone else? I know a lot of people who say “were the tax payers” the politicians go to them a lot when they need the votes, but how come they are forgotten when they get voted in and only remembered when businesses aren’t doing well and the voters need to be reminded that a recession is coming up, or that maybe the taxes are going to increase this year .. again . How come the news and media organizations don’t seem to research into this further and only seem to repeat what they are told, don’t they have a mind and enough courage of their own?.. Is it really important to know the private life of a celebrity?
I watched a lot of news before but I hardly watch it now, because you watch the news and they seem to know everything about celebrities but nothing about society and don’t have a clue how to find out answers which people are asking everyday, in fact people still have the same problems they had 15 years ago, except more are added like global warming, new threats, wars, new terrorist organizations, and the old are still there. People are still unhappy, poor, sick, and depressed. I watched some Indian TV news channel at my aunty’s and they were obsessed about how two film stars are trying to compete with each other that they dedicated 30 whole minutes to it, and still kept repeating it day after day. I’m sure they they don’t really hate each other that much or even want to compete as much, but the news channel just helps to add fuel to the fire. Why though? Don’t they have anything better to find out?.. theres over a billion people in India and they spend half the day talking about things that shouldn’t even matter. Politics there only seems to come alive when theres a sex scandal, the same thing with the rest of the worlds media. I know we aren’t living in a world full of zombies or people who just love a gossip about the next famous person, theres enough of that in each of our own areas where we live.
Why can’t people ask for proper accountability of the money being spent in their countries, it sounds big when it comes on the news, they repeat it all week, but where and how does that money get spent so fast? How come within the year theres another couple of trillion being spent? Why is it that when people start trying to save money, theres a scare that ” People aren’t spending enough” or when people start spending, theres a scare that “People aren’t saving enough”. The media, politicians should really decide what they want, do they want people to spend?.. or do they want people to save?.. either way, if they spend, they need to print more money that doesn’t exist, if they save, then there are businesses and jobs which are on the line which means redundancies and job cuts, further problems. If these countries are allowed to print money.. why can’t the countries in Africa do the same .. or why haven’t they? There are corrupt organizations and governments all over the world so that can’t be the answer. Yes they probably are violent towards their people, but who gives or sells them the weapons? I can write forever about this kind of stuff, because nothing that we are told makes any sense, but there is a simple solution to everything.
Until next time
